Maple Leaf
September 21, 2026
Rob
- Total time: 5 Minutes
- Servings: 1 Drink
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bourbon or Canadian Whiskey
- 1/2 oz Maple Syrup
- 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- Cinnamon Stick or Lemon Twist, for garnish
Directions
- 1)
You can either chill your rocks glass or give it a sugar rim (don’t do both, a chilled glass will turn the sugar rim syrupy).
- 2)
Add the bourbon, maple syrup, and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- 3)
Shake hard for 20 to 30 seconds until the shaker is frosty and chilled.
- 4)
Double strain the liquid into your prepared glass (with or without ice).
- 5)
Add a cinnamon stick or express a lemon zest twist over the top.
Notes
Came across this recipe googling cocktail recipes that use maple syrup to celebrate receiving my Canadian passport. It’s delicious and very similar to a Gold Rush.
