Gingerbread Crinkle Cookies

  • Total time: 30 Minutes
  • Servings: 4-5 Dozen

Ingredients

  • 3 Cups Flour
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 Egg
  • 3/4 Cup Molasses
  • 2 Tbsp Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar

Directions

  • 1)

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

  • 2)

In a large bowl, mix the flour, brown sugar, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and salt until well combined.

  • 3)

In a separate medium size bowl, combine butter, egg, molasses, milk, and sugar until fully incorporated.

  • 4)

Add the wet mixture to the dry and mix until the cookie dough is made and thick.

  • 5)

Shape cookie dough into one inch balls and roll into powdered sugar.

  • 6)

Place on cookie sheet and bake for at least 15 minutes or until the center is no longer doughy. It is important not to underbake these cookies since they don’t work well at all as gooey cookies and taste much better when they’re firmer.

  • 7)

Remove from oven after baking, let cool in the cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
