Hearts Desire Chocolate Chips (mini is recommended)
Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Mix butter and sugars until smooth.

Add egg and vanilla and mix until fluffy.

Mix together flour, baking soda and salt (you can mix the dry ingredients on top of the wet ingredients in the same bowl first to avoid dirtying another bowl). Incorporate with wet ingredients until flour is just absorbed— don’t over mix. A few unabsorbed spots of flour is okay.

Add chocolate chips.

Scoop into two inch balls packed tightly.

Bake for 8-10 minutes. Take out when just getting golden on top, but middle will still be jiggly. Let them cool— this is the key to them cooling soft.
