Hannah's Quick Pizza Dough

  • Total time: 2 Hours 30 Minutes
  • Servings: 1 Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 Package (0.25 oz) Active Dry Yeast
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 Cup Warm Water (110°F)
  • 2 1/2 Cups Bread Flour (all-purpose works fine, but lower protein content means less elasticity for a chewier crust)
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp Salt

Directions

  • 1)

In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

  • 2)

Stir in flour, salt and oil. Mix and turn out onto floured surface to gently work until smooth.

  • 3)

Cover and let rise until double in size.

  • 4)

Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a round. Transfer crust to a lightly greased pizza pan or baker’s peel dusted with cornmeal. Spread with desired toppings

  • 5)

Bake in preheated, 450°F oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let baked pizza cool for 5 minutes before serving.
